Shh! It's a Secret To Everybody! - No Man's Sky PS5 Print Error
PlayStation 5 Collector Alert! You aren't going to find this one much longer!
If you didn’t get the memo, here’s the deal. By presumably on accident, someone over at Hello Games left off the title of the game “No Man’s Sky” on the cover of the PlayStation 5 North American ESRB rated physical edition. This misprint triggered a nationwide recall, but not before copies game made it to retail. Larger retailers like GameStop and Best Buy were told to immediately pull all copies of the game from the shelves of their stores and send them back, presumably to be destroyed. There are currently copies floating around eBay and Amazon for a higher price, likely trying to capitalize on this shortage. As of today the game still has not come back in stock to retailers with the corrected cover for PlayStation 5, although the North American ESRB rated Nintendo Switch version is readily available since it never had a misprint to begin with.
I took a chance and purchased a copy from a website of a smaller retailer based out of Utah called “RC Willey” who at heart is a furniture store, but also carries video games. I lucked out, and received the misprint copy at retail price of $59.99. RC Willey has such great service, they even shipped the game via FedEx Ground for no additional charge. Currently, they still have copies of No Man’s Sky for PlayStation 5 available for purchase as of this post. If you are big into misprints and variants, definitely try to grab this one before the price on this one gets out of control.
